Hello guest

We are thrilled to announce that Hull City's Alfie Jones and our own Josh Barrett were honoured at Hull City's Player of the Year Awards last night.

The event, held at the Kingston Suite in the MKM Stadium and attended by a full house, saw players receiving awards for categories such as Goal of the Season and Player of the Season. Amidst these recognitions, we were pleased to present awards to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Tigers Trust over the past year.

With no suspicion of being an award recipient, Josh Barrett, our staff ambassador, was thoroughly surprised to be called upon stage when the winner of the Community Award presentation, sponsored by KCOM was announced.

Josh’s dedication to the members of the community, whether through supporting participants on our Active Through Football programme, collecting donations for the Boot Room initiative, or enhancing the mascot experience on Hull City matchdays, truly makes him a worthy winner of this award.
The spotlight then turned to the PFA Community Champion award, presented on stage by our CEO Catherine Bishop alongside the PFA’s Ben Parker.

This award was presented to Hull City defender Alfie Jones, who has demonstrated exceptional engagement with our initiatives over the past year. Alfie, together with club captain Lewie Coyle, visited our Boot Room to clean and restore boots, Alfie even generously donated some of his own football boots to in his own time to support those lacking access to proper footwear, thereby breaking down barriers to sports participation.

Both Josh and Alfie are deserving winners, and they should take great pride in their efforts to support children, young people, and adults across Hull and the East Riding.
